Star Citizen 3.1 PTU opens to all backers

Star Citizen 3.1 PTU opens to all backers

Over the past month, there has been rigorous testing by the Evocati (a select group of backers who test early patches), which as of yesterday has expanded to include all backers. This usually happens before a release is deemed good enough for a public consumption, we expect to see 3.1 public within a week if there are no serious bugs. For those of you that are new or just following the development of Star Citizen, in patch 3.1 a few additional ships have been added including the Reclaimer, Razor and Cyclone. Patch notes: Missions Updated misison rewards so higher tier […]

Star Citizen 3.0 is in the hands of Evocati

Star Citizen 3.0 is in the hands of Evocati

After a long period of waiting, signs are that 3.0 is close to being released to backers now that Evocati testers have they hands on it. Evocati is the name given to a small (600 or so) group of Star Citizen backers who get the first shot at trying out the newest patches. These new patches are usually riddled with bugs and crashes, usually making it a frustrating experience for the average gamer, thus the Evocati get first dibs on trying to find as many issues as possible and reporting them to the issue council. From that point the issue […]

Beyond Good and Evil 2 gameplay first look

Making claims of seamless ground to space travel, fancy artwork and immersive worlds is easy at E3, but how will it look in-game? In the case of Ubisoft’s E3 presentation, it seems they can back up their fancy cinematic intro with some stunning in-engine graphics shown here! We also get so see a very seamless transition from a camera zooming out from Knox standing on a giant statue to being zoomed all the way out and seeing the entire moon! So far the in-engine game looks promising, we at TEST Gaming look forward to seeing the game progress!

Beyond Good and Evil 2 – Competition for Star Citizen?

Beyond Good and Evil 2 – Competition for Star Citizen?

An unlikely competitor has emerged! One of the most fun filled and exciting previews out of E3 was Beyond Good and Evil 2! Not having played the first one, I have no idea what is happening with this story line, but if the in-game action comes anything close to what the this promotional video shows, then this game is going to be a lot of fun! So what does this have to do with Star Citizen you ask? Nothing! Except that we have yet another game promising seamless transitions from the surface of a planet into space, and back down to […]

New Logitech pad will charge your mouse!

New Logitech pad will charge your mouse!

It is one of those “why was this not a thing before?” type moments. It makes perfect sense, your mouse pad doubles as a charging pad for your wireless mouse! The new technology dubbed “Powerplay” allows you to always have your mouse fully charged as long as it is on the pad. Since your mouse will never leave the pad unless you dog gets a hold of it, gone are the days of having to stop in the middle of a game to replace the batteries or hook up the cable to charge up the mouse. Logitech claims they spent […]

There is no official release date for the Threadripper, but AMD has been on a roll over the past years and die-hard Intel fans on bit PC related sites like r/pcmasterrace are leaning more […]

Red Dead Redemption 2 looks amazing!

Red Dead Redemption 2 looks amazing!

PC gamers might not be the biggest fans of the stunts that Rockstar Games have pulled in the past. Delays are always expected, originally RDR2 was supposed to be released in Fall 2017, but has now being pushed back to Spring of 2018. Rockstar has built RDR2 from the ground up specifically for the new generation consoles. They cite this as the reason for the delayed release as they want to ensure they can deliver the best experience across platforms. In other words this is industry talk for “we ran into some horrible issues we need to sort out before we […]
